Included in Boomi’s Vappupass \nIt has already been ten years since Boomi and TLK first joined forces and set out to compete for the rule of Tampere through a checkpoint race. This highly respected title is once again up for grabs this Vappu in an intense yet wildly fun competition\, where teams are tested through diverse challenges that require creativity and the ability to throw yourself into the moment. Points are awarded not only for performance but also for team spirit\, making the atmosphere within each team incredibly important! \nTeams are formed according to the following principle: 6 Boomi + 6 TLK = 12 competitors per team. You may request 1–5 people to be placed on the same team with you. However\, please note that not all wishes can necessarily be fulfilled! \nAfter the intense competition\, participants can recover with punch and light snacks at Klubi 57. The club doors open at 19:00\, and at 21:30 the winners will be rewarded generously. Once the performances have been reviewed and the punch enjoyed\, it’s time to continue to the afterparty at 22:00. So if you want to share the Vappu spirit with other student organizations as well\, this is a great opportunity to do so. \nThe event is included in Boomi’s Vappu pass. However\, spots are limited\, so you need to act quickly during the Vappu pass sale to secure your place at the event. Please note that registration is binding. The most laid-back event of May Day is once again here\, somehow contributing to Boomi’s overall vappu rating… in its own way. \nAt the heart of the event is a massive Twister tournament\, with (genuinely) tempting prizes for the winners. The tournament will be played in pairs\, where one leg of each teammate is tied together adding an extra challenge to this relaxed game. You can join either as a player or a spectator. Registration for the tournament will be done via a form released after vappu pass sales. \nAnd of course\, refreshments have not been overlooked. Throughout the evening\, Tariffi’s skilled bartenders will serve participants a variety of delicious drinks. You can absolutely join even if tequila isn’t your thing. No worries! Jump along with the Boomaris to the very first Boomi Midsummer Barn Dance. For one evening\, Messukylän Työväentalo transforms into a midsummer oasis\, filled with the scent of birch and an unbeatable atmosphere. Expect great food\, small activities\, and of course\, plenty of dancing! You can bring an avec\, who doesn’t have to be a member of Boomi. \nNo need to stress if it’s been a while since your old school dances\, or even if you’ve never set foot on a dance floor. The evening kicks off with dance lessons led by a professional\, so once you get the basic steps down\, anyone can join in. At this event\, it’s all about the vibe\, not perfect technique. You’ll be dancing to live music by the band Junantuomat\, with both partner rotation dances and traditional styles. There will also be a chance to shine in classic group dances that might bring back memories from school dance classes. \nIn between dances\, you can refresh yourself with Midsummer punch or play a round of (kalja)mölkky. So dress in relaxed summer style and come experience an early Midsummer in the middle of spring. As the evening reaches its peak\, the audience will also vote for the most stylish couple of the night! This time\, you can leave your overalls at home. 🌿
