WHAT: The biggest and most rewarding academic event of the year — The Amazing Case case competition!

WHERE: Dynamo Business Park, Hatanpään valtatie 24

WHEN: Tuesday, October 21st, from 9:00 AM to around 7:00 PM.
Teams must be present for the entire day.

HOW TO JOIN: Team registration opens via a Forms link on October 2nd at 12:00 PM. The link is on its way!

This brain-teasing team competition gives students the chance to challenge their business know-how and go head-to-head with each other as companies present their unique case tasks. Competing teams will solve the cases one by one, and each company will score the teams’ performance. The team with the highest total score will be declared the winner! 🏅

The winning team will receive a cash prize of €2000, divided equally among team members. In addition, companies may choose to reward the best-performing team on their individual case task. After the main competition, we’ll keep the momentum going with afterwork & dinner, where you’ll have the chance to network with company representatives in a more relaxed setting. The winner will also be announced and awarded during the afterparty. Participation in the afterparty is mandatory as it’s part of the official event. In this competition, a diverse team with broad knowledge from different business majors has a real advantage! So grab your 4–5-person team now and get ready to sign up on October 2nd at 12:00 PM. Each team should select a captain, who will handle the registration. Only one registration per team is required.

IMPORTANT INFO & REGISTRATION GUIDELINES – READ CAREFULLY

The Amazing Case is a case-based team competition, where you participate in teams of 4–5 students. This year, only 8 teams can join, and participation is based on first come, first served. The event is aimed at more advanced students — first-year students (freshmen) are not eligible to participate. Registration opens via a Forms link on Tuesday, October 2nd at 12:00 PM. Each team must select a captain, who will register the whole team. Only one registration per team is needed. Teams that are successfully registered will receive a detailed info package after confirmation.
REGISTRATION IS BINDING!

During the event, each team will complete four case tasks, each hosted by a different company and individually scored. Case tasks will benefit from expertise across different business majors, so keep this in mind when forming your team. Each case session lasts approximately 75 minutes. It’s a long day, but we’ve scheduled a 1-hour lunch break — teams may choose where to eat at their own expense. A lunch buffet will be available at Juvenes Dynamo.

All case sessions will take place within Dynamo Business Park, and Boomi’s corporate relations team will guide teams between locations and ensure everything runs smoothly. The winning team will receive a €2000 prize, divided evenly among the members. The winner is determined by total points across all four case tasks, each weighted equally. Cheating or failure to follow the rules may result in invalidation of one or more case scores — or disqualification from the competition altogether.

Each case location will provide its own specific instructions.

The afterparty is a mandatory part of the event and offers a great opportunity to network with fellow participants and company reps. The winners will be announced and prizes awarded during the evening.
