First meeting

WHAT TO BRING: You don’t need anything except weather-appropriate clothing. 

University is certainly an exciting new phase in life for everyone, but good new friends will help throughout the journey! Freshman weeks, or as they are called in Boomi, Smurf Weeks, provide a flying start to the study routines and offer a diverse glimpse into student life. 

Arrive at Tampere Central Square on Sunday at 18:00, where you will be met by tutors and the Boomi ry board members dressed in blue overalls! Here you will find your own group, and you will get to move together to a slightly calmer place to get to know each other. 

However, the first meeting will start off relaxed, allowing you to get acquainted with your own smurf group and your tutors. In the evening, you’ll also have the opportunity to meet other fellow students and other participants in a relaxed setting on the terrace. 

So come as you are, and everything else will fall into place step by step. All necessary information will be provided to you during the evening and in the coming days! If you have any issues regarding the place or time, please contact your tutors or, if needed, Boomi’s Event Coordinator Alex Lindh or Head of Educational Policy Milla Jylhänkallio.
